Overview

As part of the team tasked with transforming a legacy Flash application into a modern SaaS B2B marketing platform using React, I focused on the Digital Analytics services. This included developing customizable dashboards, reports, and LiveMail features to deliver an immersive user experience and a comprehensive range of services for clients. Collaborating closely with the development team, I ensured that designs were both technically feasible and aligned with platform requirements. Leveraging my expertise in user experience design and data visualization, I created intuitive and engaging analytics tools that empowered clients to make data-driven decisions.

Transforming the legacy Flash application, I created modern, customizable Digital Analytics dashboards by leveraging a new brand identity, design system, and best practices for user interactions.
Legacy Platform Assessment

Identified the oold Flash application as a critical issue, as Flash was being phased out across web applications. This prompted the need to transition the platform to a modern, sustainable solution to ensure its continued functionality and relevance.

Competitive Analysis

Conducted an in-depth exploration of direct and indirect competitors to analyze how they approach customizable dashboards. This research provided valuable insights into industry standards, user expectations, and innovative features, guiding the design and functionality of the new platform.

Metrics Exploration

Analyzed the Digital Analytics service, which featured a wide range of widgets with customizable metrics. These metrics could be applied to widgets on the dashboard, offering users flexibility to tailor their data visualization and insights.

Widget Design and Expansion

Designed and expanded the range of analytics widgets, including funnels (featuring funnel, channels, and table views), tables, bar charts, and trends. While some widget types were already part of the design system, others, such as a real-time trend view, were created from scratch and proposed for integration into the system to enhance functionality and user experience.

Development Support

Detailed Dashboard Flows

I created detailed Use Cases in Jira, outlining flows that encompassed all interactions with dashboards and widgets. These flows were translated into User Stories for developers and QA teams, ensuring a clear understanding of requirements. After development, I conducted design quality control to ensure the final implementation adhered to the intended design and functionality.

Responsive Widgets Design

I developed comprehensive guidelines for responsive widgets, detailing how each widget and its skeleton should adapt seamlessly across screen resolutions, from small screens to 1920px and above. These guidelines provided developers with clear instructions to ensure a consistent and scalable user experience across all devices.
